Pennywise announces departure of lead singer 

The punk rock band Pennywise U.S. announced in a statement the output of the singer Jim Lindberg. The singer was ahead of the group two decades and did not disclose the reasons which led to this decision. 

According to official statement by the band, Pennywise will continue on active duty. Read the note of the group: 

"After 19 years with Pennywise, Jim Lindberg decided to step down as vocalist. Pennywise have long said that you should always follow your heart and find what makes you happy, and we wish Jim all to luck in your new adventures, whatever they are. Pennywise became a way of life for many people, and has definitely become a way of life for us (...). 

Let's start our search for a new vocalist immediately. We will continue to tour the world and we look forward to writing new music. We had a lot of good times and survive the hard times thanks to the support of our fans. We look forward to what the future may bring. " 

Jim Lindberg also issued a statement talking about his departure: 

"After 20 years, nine albums and thousands of shows around the world, my time in Pennywise came to an end. Being the lead singer of this band was an amazing experience and we have the best fans anyone could ask for. I would like to express my deepest thanks to all who stayed with us all these years, especially with the death of Jason, years ago. It was his support and encouragement that kept me for so long. There are some things that made me very proud to see people at our shows singing our songs (...).
