The Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in 1974, considered a forerunner of the style and one of the most influential bands in rock history.

Members

Joey Ramone - vocals (1974-1996): He died from a lymphatic cancer on April 15, 2001 in New York. Had the disease for years, but, with his weakened immune system due to a minor accident, the evil worse.
Dee Dee Ramone - bass (1974-1989): He was found dead at his home in Hollywood on June 5, 2002, due to an overdose of heroin.
Johnny Ramone - guitar (1974-1996): He died as a result of prostate cancer on September 15, 2004 in Los Angeles. He fought the disease since 1999.
Elvis Ramone - drums (1987-1987): He has performed with the band on two occasions: August 28, 1987, in Providence, Rhode Island, and August 29, 1987.
Marky Ramone - drums (1978-1983, 1987-1996): In 1983, Marky was forced to leave the band because of problems with alcohol. In 1987 he returned to take his place on drums after being recovered from alcoholism.
CJ Ramone - bass (1989-1996): Replaced Dee Dee Ramone September 1989 to 1996
Tommy Ramone - drums (1974-1978): After recording the third album Tommy left the battery and turned the band's producer.
Richie Ramone - drums (1983-1987): Replaced Marky Ramone on drums. He left the band because I wanted to get married and claiming not receive profits from sales of shirts and not support the authoritarianism of Johnny Ramone.

Good Bibliography there ! I saw them six times by the time 1980 rolled around . They were great live. I even have one of their vids on one of my hubs . Good Info here .
