The Sport Club Corinthians Paulista is currently a major sports clubs of Brazil. It was founded as a football club by a group of workers on 1 September 1910, in Bom Retiro district of Sao Paulo. Over the years the club has developed and started to compete in other ways, such as rowing, basketball, swimming, volleyball, tennis, taekwondo, soccer, judo, badminton and handball. But their main achievements and recognition have been achieved by professional football. It was the first club to win the FIFA Club World Cup, and the only one to win the title at home in Brazil in 2000.
His fans, known as "loyal" and second search is the second largest amount of fans of a club in Brazil. The Corinthians were the first club from Sao Paulo to make room for people of more humble, a fact reflected in some of their nicknames, such as workers' club or team of people.
